The Palatinate (or “Rhenish Palatinate”, German: Pfalz) is a region on the left side of the river Rhine.

Today it is the southern part of Rhineland-Palatinate (German: Rheinland-Pfalz and the southeastern part of Palatinate is the northwestern part of the REGIO PAMINA.
