Rheinstetten is a city in the Landkreis Karlsruhe.

In General

In Rheinstetten there live 20,426 inhabitants (29th Feb 2008) on an area of 3,231 ha. The Lord Mayor is Sebastian Schrempp (CDU) and mayor is Clemens Hauk.

Rheinstetten is divided in these quarters: Forchheim, Mörsch, Neuburgweier and Silberstreifen, which is separated by open ground.

Traffic

Railway

Rheinstetten has one train station. This station is used for the mass passenger transport with the line S4/S41.

But Rheinstetten is also linked with Karlsruhe by the line S2.

Road traffic

Rheinstetten lays on the Badische Spargelstraße, the B 36 and the A 5. Rheinstetten is linked with Ettlingen by the bus line Bus 106.

Culture and places of interest

Twin city

Rheinstetten is twinned with Vescés in Hungary, Navarrenx in France and since 1997 also with Palca in Peru.
