The Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe (English: State Art Gallery) is a museum in Karlsruhe.
It was opened in 1846 and is owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Building
The Karlsruhe State Art Gallery is one of the big art galleries in south Germany. It owns works from all eras of German painting, especially old German masters from the south west; and works of these painters of the 19th century, who increased the fame of the Karlsruhe Academy. Heinrich Hübsch began building the Art Gallery in 1836, but it wasn't completely finished until our time (1990).
