Indo-German Society

The Indo-German Society (German: Deutsch-Indische Gesellschaft e.V., DIG) is an organisation established in 1953 for the cultural exchange between Germans and Indians. It has branches in 35 cities of Germany. Altogether it has more than 4,000 members. Its aim is to promote the understanding between Indians and Germans and to facilitate contacts among the people of Indian origin living in Germany. It also supports a school in a village near Dehradun.
