The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (short: KIT) is the name of a cooperation between the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe.

History

As of February, 2008 the merger of Universität Karlsruhe (TH) and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe to form the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2009 was passed by the state of Baden-Württemberg) and the federal government.[1]
